'Ardhanaari' on the stage of Kohinoor

The meaning of 'Ardhanaari' may be known to all. As much, as we have heard or seen we are seeing the positive characteristics of people of the third gender. In some places, auspicious ceremonies are not done without seeking the blessings of people of the third gender. But this year's Kohinoor Theatre, an exceptional play called 'Ardhanaari', written by Champak Sarma, is about to be staged, but only portrays the negative character of a third gender person. An MLA who indulges in corruption is a good show to the society whose true form is half-woman. The killing of a journalist who preached about his misdeeds in the form of an 'Adhranaari', wearing a mask of a good MLA against a half-woman near the society, unable to give birth to a child himself and the child is the one who exposes the MLA's misdeeds, the struggling life of the sister of the journalist who killed him, an example of what true love is. Some plays are hard to describe. Because there are so many mysteries embedded in the play. That's exactly what's like 'Ardhanaari'. In the play 'Ardhanaari' of Kohinoor Theatre, a living person will be seen cutting his head, coming to the audience and slitting his neck, a four-wheeler going before the stage, etc. Many old actors and actresses, including Krishnamani Nath, Ankita Saikia, Siddhanta Kalita, Girija Mahanta, Gaurang Sharma, Dulumani Deka, Jayanta Jeevan Baruah, Jayant Sharma, Moon Kalita will be seen on the stage of this year's Kohinoor Theatre. It is worth mentioning that the play 'Ardhanaari', directed by renowned actor Champak Sharma and produced by Tapan Lahak, who created a stir all around Assam even before the play was staged, was inaugurated on August 26 at Natyanagari Pathsala, and the play received a huge appreciation in Pathsala.

World Coconut Day

World Coconut Day is observed on September 2 to create awareness about the importance of coconut across the world. Coconut in India is referred to as 'kalpavriksha', which means a tree that fulfils all the necessities of life, and is regarded as a holy tree. There is a lot of significance of coconut in Hinduism – the coconut tree in rituals and ceremonies. In other countries, it is also called the 'tree of a thousand uses' or 'tree of life'.
