NEW DELHI: On Friday 11 March, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced that the second term examination for classes 10 and 12 will be conducted from 26 April 2022.

The board has earlier informed that this year class 10 and 12 examinations will be held following two terms among which the first term is already done.

The board has shared the exam date for CBSE term 2 for classes 10 and 12 through an official notification released today on Friday on its official website.

Students from both the classes must get ready with the preparations for their upcoming second term of examination which is scheduled for the 26th of the next month.

As per the information available now, the examination will be completed in one single shift and the timings are decided as 10:30 for the commencement of the exam.

It is informed that a detailed notification regarding the second tern CBSE class 10 & 12 exams will be soon shared on the official website of the board- www.cbse.gov.in.

Along with the preparations, students must keep checking the website for all necessary details and other updates related to their exams.

The exam dates have been set by CBSE by keeping in mind the covid pandemic that resulted in great loss in the learning process of the students as all offline classes were cancelled by that time.

The board in the notice issued on Friday stated that more gaps were provided in between the exams of almost all the subjects for both class 10 and 12 students. This decision was taken as the schools were closed at the time of the global pandemic and students suffered a loss in studies.

The notice further added that other competitive exams including JEE Main are also taken care of at the time of preparing the datasheet.

It may be mentioned that the CBSE and other boards including ICSE and NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) had earlier submitted a plea to the Supreme Court seeking cancellation of the physical exams.

However later the SC rejected the plea stating that this only gives false hope to students and exams will be conducted as per schedule.
