The IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) Kharagpur has shared the exam schedule for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2022.

The examination dates can be checked through the GATE official website- gate.iitkgp.ac.in. As per the exam calendar, the GATE examination 2022 will be starting from 5th February 2022 and it will be ended on 13 February.

There will be two shifts of the examination to be conducted next year. The first shift of the exam is scheduled to commence from morning 09:00 am and will end at 12:00 pm while the next shift will be starting from 02:30 pm and will be concluded at 5:30 pm. The time duration for both shifts will be 3 hours within which the students must complete their exams.

The hall tickets to appear in the examination hall will be provided to candidates on 3 January 2022. The examination is held every year for students getting admission into different programmes of masters course at the Indian Institute of Science and Indian Institute of Technology Bengaluru and also for recruitment in various public sector organizations.

Exam pattern for GATE 2022:

• MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions) will be asked in the GATE 2022 examination.

• The exam will also feature MSQs (Multiple Select Questions)

• NAT (Numerical Answer Type) will also be given in the question paper.

• Some questions will carry 1 mark and there will also be questions carrying 2 marks.

• In the case of the Multiple Choice Questions, the will be negative marking.

• 1/3 marks will be deducted on attempting the MCQ question with the wrong response.

• For the Multiple Select Questions and Numerical Answer Type no negative marking will be done on the wrong answer.
