The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released CUET (Common University Entrance Test) notification on exam pattern, structure and guidelines on its official website- nta.ac.in.

NTA will be conducting the CUET in 13 languages from this session onwards and the languages include English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, Gujarati, Urdu, Odia, Punjabi and Malayalam.

According to the latest NTA notification, the application process for this year's CUET will start from April's first week.

The entrance test will be conducted by NTA for selecting students in the undergraduate programs in 45 UGC (University Grants Commission) funded central universities across the country.

According to the UGC chairman, the state universities, private universities, as well as the deemed to be universities, can also use the score of candidates in CUET for admissions into UG courses.

Exam Pattern:

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for undergraduate courses in central universities will be conducted following 2 shifts having Section 1A, 1B, General Test and domain-specific subjects.

Section 1A will be compulsory for students to answer in any languages among the 13 mentioned above however section 1B will be optional for those who can want to write in other languages like Arabic, French and German.

In the first shift of the exam, candidates will have to respond to the general test, domain-specific papers and one language while in the next shift, they will write the rest of the 4 domain-specific subjects along with section 1B.

Syllabus:

The chairman of the University Grants Commission, M Jagdesh Kumar said that the syllabus of the Common University Entrance Test will be similar to the class 12 model syllabus of the NCERT (National Council of Educational Research and Training).

Here are the steps to fill application form for CUCET 2022:

1. Go to the official website of exam conducting body NTA- nta.ac.in.

2. Select the link available as 'application process'

3. Enter all important details asked on specific fields

4. Submit the credentials that you provided

5. After filling up all required information download the application form

6. Keep a hard copy of the form for future needs.
