About NEIST
The North East Institute of Science and Technology in Jorhat, Assam, is a constituent institution of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) in New Delhi, and has been engaged in multidisciplinary R&D work relevant to the country in general and the North Eastern Region in particular. The CSIR-North East Institute of Science and Technology, previously (RRL) in Jorhat, was founded in 1961 as one of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research's (CSIR) interdisciplinary labs under its Chemical Science Group of laboratories.

Experience Details
Scientist (Chemical Engineering): Candidate Should have Research experience in Product Development / Translational Research / Process Modelling / Separation Science.
Scientist (Petroleum): Candidate Should have Experience in the area of Polymer synthesis, composites and nanocomposites / Petrochemical Products /Biodegradable Polymer.
Scientist (Coal &Energy): Candidate Should have Research experience in Coal Science/ Energy & Environmental Science.
Scientist (Natural Products Chemistry): Candidate Should have Research/ Industry experience in Natural Product development.
Scientist (Biological Science): Candidate Should have Research experience in the area of Edible Insect (Entomophagy) and medicinal importance of insect (Entomotherapy) and experience in utilization of traditional knowledge for development of Insect based edible product for nutrition and immuno boosting.
Scientist (Agriculture): Candidate Should have Experience in the area of conventional breeding / marker assisted breeding / QTL mapping /mutation breeding /genetic manipulation of economically important plants / medicinal plants /floriculture crops.
Scientist (Plant Taxonomy): Candidate Should have Research experience in Plant Taxonomy /Biosystematics / Population Biology / Floral Diversity / Genetic Diversity / Herbarium Management
