Eligibility Criteria
The applicant should be the resident of the concerned Block area and the following criteria should be fulfilled during submission of application.
(i) He/She must not be less than 18 and not more than 40 years of age.
(ii) He/She should have the minimum educational qualification of Madhyamik passed from any recognized University/Board.
(iii) He/She should have worked in MGNREGA or have family members who have worked under MGNREGA.
(iv) He/She should not be related to PRI representative, mates and other officials of implementing agencies.
(v) The VRP should preferably be women and/or belonging to the Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes Community.
(vi) Preference will be given to the Youth from rural groups like Watershed Management Committees, Village School Committees, SHGs, Community Based Organization, Nehru Yuba Kendra and Bharat Nirman Volunteers etc.
Selection Process
The selection process will be held in 2 (Two) successive stages as mentioned below:-
(i) Short listing of candidates: A short list of candidates 5 times of vacancies will be prepared on the basis of good academic record of each candidate (weightage will be given to the marks obtained by each candidate in Madhyamik, H.S., Graduation & Masters), working experience (work with any CSO/Right based work), SHG member, women applicant, MGNREGS Job Card Holders & SC/ST candidates.
(ii) Final Selection: For the purpose of final selection 40 marks weightage will be given on academic marks & others as mentioned above and rest 10 marks will be given on personal interview.
How to apply
Application in plain paper (Offline) as per prescribed format will be received in the O/o the DM & Collector, Khowai District & O/o the concerned Block Development Officer from 21.10.2022 to 07.11.2022 on any working day from 11.00 AM to 4.00 PM.

The undivided Khowai had started its administrative set up from the year 1910 A.D. under SDO, Sri Trivani Kumar Bardhan. Khowai Sub-Division when undivided was the 2nd largest Sub-Division in Tripura and also among the first 10 subdivisions in the state. It was divided into two Sub-Divisions namely Khowai and Teliamura in the year 2006. The district is flanked by Bangladesh on the north, Amarpur and Gandacharra on the south, Kamalpur & Ambassa on the east and Mohanpur and Jirania Sub Division on the west. The Atharamura range runs along the eastern side of the District while the western side is bordered by the Baramura Range. Khowai River, the primary river from which the district also takes its name, starts from its source at Nunacherra and passes through Khowai Town.
The Administrative set up of the District consists of 6 Blocks and 3 Revenue Circles and 19 Tehsil Offices. The location of Khowai District Head Quarter is at Khowai Office tilla. The district consists of 6 assembly constituencies.
The population consists of Bengalis and Tripuris and both languages i.e. Bengali and Kokborok are spoken. The main festivals are Durga Puja, Saraswati puja, Kharchi and Garia Pooja. Khowai has a rich cultural history and is a well known for its people's movement on literacy (Jan shiksha andolan) as well as against Titun pratha by three sisters Kumari, Madhuti and Rupashri. Tripura celebrates the Martyrs Day on 28th March every year in memory of Rupashri Debbarma, Kumari Debbarma and Madhuti Debbarma. Two Chief Ministers of the state, Late Nripen Chakraborty and Late Dasrath Deb, also hail from the area.
