NEW DELHI: In order to conduct necessary maintenance work for the safety and preservation of the infrastructure, the Indian Railways cancelled 164 trains on Friday. 59 more trains that were supposed to leave on December 2 were cancelled, according to the latest information provided by the railway agency.
Tickets purchased on the IRCTC website will automatically be cancelled, and a refund will be started in the accounts of the passengers. Passengers who purchased tickets at a counter will need to go to the reservation counter to get their money back.

These four easy actions can be used to confirm if your train has been cancelled-
1. Choose the departure date at indianrail.gov.in/mntes.
2. After that, click Exceptional Trains in the screen's top panel.
3. Select the option for Cancelled Trains.
4. To view a complete list of trains with times, routes, and other details as needed, choose Fully or Partially from the menu.
For detailed information on train schedules, arrival and departure times, and other facts, passengers can also consult the official website. In case they have any additional questions, travellers can also download the NTES smartphone application.
