Mangaldai: In a bizarre incident, a man chopped off his genitals under the influence of Marijuana in Mangaldai in Assam on May 19.

The man has been identified as Mohammed Shahazul Ali, who hailed from Dekargaon in Assam.

While speaking to reporters, the man confessed that he is addicted to smoking Marijuana. He said that he was feeling guilty as he happens to be a Muslim and added that he has committed a sin for which he would not be forgiven.

He had an inhibition that the society would have alienated him and he would have been looked down by people due to the fact that he smokes Marijuana despite being a Muslim.

It is to be noted that the consumption of Marijuana, alcohol or any other intoxicants is strictly forbidden in Islam.

He decided to chop off his genitals under the influence of Marijuana after getting afraid of the ramifications coming his way. He also said that he wanted to make his contribution to the welfare of society.

Meanwhile, his son told reporters that his father was a lunatic man who would often do crazy things and added that he was mostly out of his senses.

Earlier last year, a 45-year-old woman hailing from Madhya Pradesh had chopped off the genitals of a man who allegedly attempted to rape her.

As per reports, the incident took place at Umariha village in Madhya Pradesh's Sidhi district, when the man crept into the woman's house at 11 pm. The women was sleeping with her 13-year-old son, when the accused entered the house with malicious intentions, Khaddi police outpost in-charge sub inspector (SI) Dharmendra Singh Rajput said.
