MANGALDAI: Tangla Press Club (TPC), a premier organization of media persons at Tangla in Udalguri district offered heartfelt homage to late journalist Dhaneswar Rabha on his second death anniversary on Tuesday at Tangla. Late Rabha, a media person with the highest degree of integrity, honesty and courage who maintained a very simple lifestyle despite financial crunch breathed his last in 2020 in COVID 19 pandemic.

Social activist and literary person Dharani Dhar Medhi and Sumitra Rabha, the wife of late Dhaneswar Rabha offered floral tribute on the portrait of late Rabha. In the function presided over by Tangla Press Club President Ujjwal Das, Tangla Press Club awarded Dhaneswar Rabha award for journalism to Bhargab Kumar Das of The Sentinel. TPC also offered felicitation on Medical and Health Officer Dr Laxman Chandra Boro and social activist Arati Mahanta of Tangla in recognition of their sincere and devoted service to the society.

Media Person Mayukh Goswami and Hemanta Kumar Barua of Mangaldai Media Circle, Journalist Narayan Deka, Girish Deka and Diganta Sarma also attended the function. Earlier Secretary of TPC Koustabh Sarma accorded a hearty welcome to all the guests and the family members of late Dhaneswar Rabha.
