Khelo India Women's Judo National League to kick off tomorrow in Guwahati city

Around 250 players from the different States of the Eastern Region will participate in the khelo India Women’s Judo National League (East zone) which will kick off in the city on August 28.

GUWAHATI: Around 250 players from the different States of the Eastern Region will participate in the khelo India Women's Judo National League (East zone) which will kick off in the city on August 28. Addressing a media gathering the chairman of the organizing committee Yogesh K Dadve said that competition will be held in four categories-sub junior, cadet, junior and senior. In the sub junior and cadet there will be 9 and 8 weight categories respectively while junior and senior the number of weight categories will be seven each.

The media briefing was also attended by the president of the All Assam Judo Association Sailen Deka, veteran sports organizer Banibrata Das and secretary of the organizing committee Zafer Khan. Regarding the Assam team Banibrata Das said that around 30 players from Assam will participate in the championship.
