GUWAHATI: 18 wickets fell on Day I in Nuruddin Senior Inter District cricket tie between Silchar and Tinsukia at Amingaon Stadium here today. Chasing Tinsukia's first innings total 149, Silchar were 145-8 in their first innings at stumps.

No doubt the day was ruled by the bowlers of both the teams. Sanjib Dutta (5-47) and Rahul Singh (4-42) of Silchar shared nine wickets between them to restrict Tinsukia 149 in their first innings after they were invited to bat first. Later Akash Chetri(4-37) and Abir Chakraborty (3-66) bowled well and forced Silchar to lost 8 wickets on way to score 145. In Tinsukia's innings Amit Sinha (62) was the top scorer and Shivam Mittal (33) also contributed well. For Silchar, Aman Singh (51) scored a half century.
