Sports Authority of India to celebrate National Sports Day in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: NE Regional Centre of Sports Authority of India will organize various events to mark the National Sports Day on Monday. August 29 is the birth anniversary of the hockey wizard Dhayan Chand and the day is celebrated as National Sports Day. Assistant Director of the Sports Authority of India (NE Region) Sarvadnya Thakare informed the media that various events will be organized throughout the day. Nayanmoni Saikia, gold medal winner in recently concluded Commonwealth Games, will also attend the function.
