AIZAWL: The Lunglei Battalion of 23 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Inspector General Assam Rifles (East), provided immediate medical assistance to a boy who met with lacerated wound on his right leg while working in the jungle at Parva-II village of Mizoram on Thursday.

According to a press release, the medical Nursing Assistant of the Lunglei Battalion present at Parva Camp provided immediate medical aid. The patient was given on-the-spot medical treatment and the wound was stitched. The condition of the boy is being monitored by medical assistant at Parva.

Meanwhile, another press release informed that the Aizawl Battalion of 23 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Inspector General Assam Rifles (East), conducted an 'Essay Writing and Debate Competition' on the topic "Challenges in the role of guarding the border by the troops and their socio economic requirements including development of area" at the Zokhawsang, New Vaikhawtlang, Hnahlan, Kawlbem and Ngopa villages of Mizoram on Thursday.
