Four (4) dacoits arrested in Barpeta Road

Four dacoits were caught at Barpeta road on Thursday by Barpeta road police.

The team of police led by Chandan Goswami, police official of Barpeta road police station, caught the four dacoits and recovered 3 bikes, two four wheelers, few mobile phones and around Rs 18,000 cash.

The arrested dacoits were identified as, Abdul Kasem from Howly Ghilajhari, Abu Taher from Chengulia Barpeta road, Ashan Habib from Gosaigaon and Mafijuddin from Balabhitha.

Two persons managed to escape, police in search of them.

Police is investigating the matter.
