Police seizes handmade pistol in Howly, one arrested

Acting on a tip-off, the Howly police on Thursday recovered a handmade pistol and arrested a person at Borbala in Howly.

The person has been identified as Abbas Ali from Borbala village in Howly.

The pistol was found at his residence in Borbala village.

Earlier, Howly police arrested a bike thief at Howly. The person was identified as Mijanur Rahman from Kolgasia. As per information by Mijanur Rahman police arrested Abbas Ali and recovered the handmade pistol.

Police also recovered some stolen items from his house.

The investigation into the matter is underway.
