Tingkhong is a town in Dibrugarh District with an area of 16.5 sqkm. It is an important tea cultivating area in the Upper Assam. It is also an oil extracting place supplying major oil companies. It is approximately 70 km from Tinsukia towards the south. It has a population of about 236,571 according to the 2011 Census.
