BJP launches scathing attack on Abdul Khalek

GUWAHATI: A contingent of the senior spokespersons of the State BJP camp, including Subhas Dutta, Dr. Mominul Awal and Pankaj Borborah, have launched a vehement verbal assault on Congress MP Abdul Khalek for his remarks favouring the Mughal regime and its discourses in India.

Slammimg Khalek for resorting to appeasement politics even at the cost of tampering with the age-old cultural heritage and historical legacy of the nation, Subhash Dutta cornered the Congress MP for trying to gain political brownie points through appeasement politics in favour of the Mughals, the Rohingyas and the coterie of populace belonging to the migrant cult. He said in a press statement that Khalek's remarks had projected a clear picture of the Congress's political alignment. Dutta has warned Khalek to shun his unscrupulous designs of dragging Assam's historical and cultural heritage into cheap controversy for the sake of political publicity.
