NFR Employees’ Union demand to cancel NPS and to restore OPS
The NF Railway Employees’ Union ended their 75-hour hunger strike, which commenced on January 8, by reiterating the demand for cancelling the National Pension System (NPS) and restoring the Old Pension Scheme (OPS).

GUWAHATI: The NF Railway Employees’ Union ended their 75-hour hunger strike, which commenced on January 8, by reiterating the demand for cancelling the National Pension System (NPS) and restoring the Old Pension Scheme (OPS). Nayan Kumar Barman, chairman of the publicity wing of the union, said that the hunger strike was organized at NF Railway headquarters along with five regional offices. The union said that this agitation will continue until the government declares the cancellation of the NPS and restores OPS.
