Nonagenarian Gagan Chandra Chutia dies in Guwahati

Amidst the Magh Bihu festivities, a 90-year-old man died on January 14 in the Panjabari area. He is identified as Gagan Chandra Chutia.

GUWAHATI: Amidst the Magh Bihu festivities, a 90-year-old man died on January 14 in the Panjabari area. He is identified as Gagan Chandra Chutia.

According to sources, he was an undersecretary of the Assam government and retired in 1992. He was born in Charing, Sivasagar district, in 1934. He was connected with various programmes and took an active part in various associations and organizations.

He is survived by his three sons and daughter-in-laws, as well as his admirers.
