DOHA: Numerous issues have plagued the Arab nation of Qatar ever since FIFA granted it the hosting rights in 2010.

But a significant question is how Qatar will organize such a major event without a football heritage. In response, Qatar seems to have constructed eight cutting-edge stadiums and prepared them well in advance.

Al Bayt Stadium, Khalifa International Stadium, Al Thumama Stadium, Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium, Lusail Stadium, Stadium 974, Education City Stadium, and Al Janoub Stadium are the eight stadiums.

They are all situated 55 kilometers or less from Doha, Qatar's capital. Doha, Lusail, Al Khor, Al Wakrah, and Al Rayyan are the five cities where the eight stadiums are dispersed.

Al Bayt Stadium

Along with eight other significant matches, including a semifinal on December 14, the stadium will host the opening match of the main event between Qatar and Ecuador on November 20.

Khalifa International Stadium

The stadium, which was constructed in 1976, has previously played host to important occasions including the Asian Games, Arabian Gulf Cup, and AFC Asian Cup.

Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium

On December 18, 2020, the stadium was officially opened in conjunction with the 2020 Amir Cup final. Seven World Cup games, including six group stage games and one round of 16 games, will be played at the stadium.

Al Thumama Stadium

The Amir Cup final between Al Sadd and Al Rayyan served as the stadium's first official event on October 22, 2021.

Lusail Stadium

The stadium, which has a capacity of 80,000 spectators, is hailed as Qatar's largest tournament venue.

Education City Stadium

The 40,000-seat Education City Stadium was opened in 2020 for a ceremony honoring the front-line healthcare professionals during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Stadium 974

On November 30, 2021, during the UAE vs. Syria game of the FIFA Arab Cup in Qatar, the 40,000-seat stadium made its debut.

Al Janoub Stadium

On November 22, France and Australia will play in the inaugural FIFA World Cup game at the 40,000-seat Al Janoub stadium.
