Fashion is a way in which we express ourselves. Being fashionable need not be expensive. It can be done in a simple way.

Now that it is winter, we must include our woollens, but staying in with woollens is a skill, everyone should know. Keeping oneself warm and at the same time putting on the right winter wear is an art.

Layering clothes looks expensive but we must know the skill to layer. But if you are someone, who wants to look good in a minimalist way, then you should own some basic clothing in your wardrobe and pair those with each other to create a simple yet an elegant look for yourself.

A true minimalist does not want their day-to-day outfit to be overly complicated. Naturally, they gravitate away from daring outfits with multiple layers in favour of ones that are simpler and easier to put together, but this does not mean that they are willing to give up style, nor should they. Therefore, when it comes to picking out outerwear that is both trendy and utilitarian, a minimalist may choose to purchase an investment item from a designer or go for a more budget-friendly choice that is as stylish as it is cost-effective to wear when trekking in cold climes.

Following are some of the trends that you need to follow and also some basic outfits that you must own in order to make your wardrobe fashionable and cost effective.

Custom-Fitted Suits

Garments that are cut to a flattering silhouette will never go out of style. This year, a significant emphasis is being placed on this fashion trend. You can wear it to work, you can wear it out in the evening, and you can wear it to a party. This fashion statement is simply impossible to ignore. It is imperative that you make an investment in these structured clothing because they are not only comfy but also elegant and classic.

Layering

We may also expect layering to be a major trend this year. There are a few essential things to keep an eye out for: shorts worn with leggings, coats worn over sweaters worn over shirts, blazers worn over jeans, trench coats worn over small dresses, sheer tops worn under dresses, turtlenecks worn under dresses, and dresses worn over pants.

Catsuits

This trend seems to have fully blossomed on the winter catwalk, appearing in a wide variety of materials and styles (leather, prints, knits, denim, you name it). A catsuit can be worn with a variety of other articles of clothing, like a skirt, shorts, or an outer coat.

Monochrome

This season's most prominent monochromatic look is all black, from head to toe. Make sure that your entire outfit, from head to toe, is the same colour. If you want to spice up your look, try incorporating a variety of textures in the same colour.

Velvet and leather

No material can surpass leather's popularity. From coats and dresses to leather jackets and leggings, leather clothing is ubiquitous. And you can't go wrong with black, ruby, and emerald satin for your formal clothing.

Knits, Embroidery, Texture, and Embroidered Feathers

Less emphasis on designs and patterns has been seen this season, with the spotlight instead falling on textures and embellishments. Adding a touch of elegance to an outfit is easy with the help of feathers and fur. The importance of knitwear is also not to be forgotten.

Accessories

Knee-high boots, platform shoes, gloves, a bow, a belt, hair pins, and a scarf can all elevate your outfit to the next level.

These are the basic clothing that you must own. But if you cannot own, them there is nothing to worry about. You can look fashionable in some traditional wear.
