GUWAHATI: In a historic triumph, Elvis Ali Hazarika, a distinguished swimmer hailing from Assam, etched his name in the annals of achievement by becoming the first Assamese to conquer the challenging stretch from Elephanta Island Jetty to the Gateway of India in Mumbai. The groundbreaking feat unfolded on a Wednesday, showcasing Hazarika's unparalleled determination against the formidable forces of the Arabian Sea.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also took to social media to congratulate Hazarika for this remarkable achievement.
