BJP Respects Dreams of the Northeastern People: Sarbananda Sonowal
Sarbananda Sonowal visited Guwahati after induction into the Central Parliamentary Board and Central election commission of the BJP.
GUWAHATI: Former Assam CM and present Union Minister of Shipping and Waterways and AYUSH, Sarbananda Sonowal received a grand welcome after he was inducted into the ruling BJP's apex bodies – Central Parliamentary Board and Central Election Committee.
BJP President Jagat Prasad Nadda announced the newly constituted apex bodies where Sarbananda Sonowal became the first Northeast politician to make it to the coveted list.
After a grand welcome at Borjhar Airport, the central minister and senior BJP leader went straight to the newly constructed BJP office in Basistha.
The leader was accompanied by Bhabesh Kalita, President, BJP, Assam Pradesh; Phanindra Sharma, Organising Secretary, BJP for Assam and Tripura, Dilip Saikia, MP from Mangaldoi and National General Secretary, BJP; State Minister Bimal Borah, and many other leaders from the state.
The Union Minister also had a courtesy meeting with BL Santosh, National Organising Secretary, BJP at the newly constructed office.
Following that the central minister went straight to the newly inaugurated party office for Northeast 'Padma Bhavan' in UzanBazar. After that, he also visited the Hengrabari party office where he offered floral tributes & prayers in front of the portrait of Bharat Mata, Deen Dayal Upadhyay, and Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee.
Sonowal in his speech said, "BJP, is the world's largest political party, which has dedicated itself to nation-building with a spirit of service and dedication towards the nation. I am fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to serve the party. Prime Minister, Narendra Modiji and National President of the Party, JP Naddaji have once again reimposed their sincere devotion to the North East and have believed in me when they allowed me to serve the party at the highest policy-making bodies of the party, the Central Parliamentary Board and the Central Election Committee."
"For the people of Assam and Northeast, BJP is the only party that respects their dreams and commits to turning them into reality with sheer hard work & commitment", he added.
