GUWAHATI: The Border Security Force (BSF) is determined to protect the country's borders and has initiated a pre-recruitment training program for young people in bordering regions. The collaborative effort between BSF Guwahati Frontier's 31st Battalion and non-governmental organization 'Seemanta Chetna Manch, Purvottar,' is currently being conducted at Golakganj's Chilarai Stadium situated in Dhubri district.

This groundbreaking initiative is targeting girls who live in the border regions adjacent to the Indo-Bangladesh International boundary. Acknowledging that local youth hold considerable potential and play a vital part in building up their nation, 31st Battalion arranges training sessions from Sunday through Wednesday. The all-encompassing program caters to both written competitive exams and physical fitness tests needed for enlistment into Central Armed Forces, Indian Armed Forces as well as State police.

Skilled trainers and notable officials are actively involved in teaching crucial skills and knowledge to the attendees, with a primary aim of preparing and empowering young people. Specifically emphasizing on motivating girls towards careers in defense or police forces, this program has currently benefitted 115 female students from bordering areas; evidence of its substantial impact on the local community.

The program's primary goal is to cultivate a feeling of patriotism and obligation in those involved, promoting a sense of selflessness towards the country. The Border Security Force hopes to advance not only national security but also the advancement of India's future by prompting young locals to view themselves as vital members within organizations such as the Indian Armed Forces, Central Armed Forces, and state police force.
