BSF ADG Eastern Command PK Singh visits Masimpur frontier near Silchar

SILCHAR: PK Singh, Additional Director General (Eastern Command), paid a two-day visit to Frontier Headquarter BSF Mizoram and Cachar, Masimpur, near Silchar on May 19 and 20. On his arrival, he was received by Sunil Kumar, IG and senior officers of the Frontier. During his visit to the Frontier Headquarter, the Additional Director General took stock of BSF preparedness in fighting against pandemic COVID-19 and effective border domination by BSF troops. He interacted with all senior officers including sector commanders and battalion commanders deployed in Barak valley Assam, Mizoram, Manipur and Nagaland through video conference.

He visited the BSF hospital and quarantine centers created for BSF troops. The Additional Director General expressed his satisfaction at the well-coordinated action undertaken by BSF headquarters and battalions. P K Singh, ADG, BSF also praised BSF commanders for extending helping hand to the needy and poor border population through various civic action like distribution of ration, medicines, face mask, sanitizer, potable water among others.
